Vin was 'Born in a skip' to actor parents Edward and Lucille.
Her great grandfather was a Punch and Judy man and her grandfather
was an opera singer. He appeared in silent movies in the 20's.
Her father, a gold medallist at RADA, trod the boards in many a
Shakespearian play. He was the first director to put Dylan Thomas'
UNDER MILK WOOD on the stage (it was written as a narrative) at
the Edinburgh Festival in 1956. As an actor he worked in film and
TV including DR WHO, THE AVENGERS, MISS MARPLE, THE BILL and ALL
CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, and more recently in the European VISA

Benjamin and also specialises in children's costume. Her brother
Tim, once a lighting designer for ballet and rock and roll, is

Vin was educated at Michael Hall, a Rudolph Steiner School in Sussex

children all over the country who wrote fan letters to him at the
BBC. Aslan became a celebrity in his own right. He appeared on
Comic relief and presented a Bafta award in 1990 when he was personally
introduced to HRH Princess Royal.
Costume designer Bob Ringwood asked Vin to make the ‘Batsuit’ for

cards for TAP airlines!

and she was asked to design the costumes for two plays; THE GREAT
THEATRE OF THE WORLD by Calderon de la Barca, and THE LESSON by
Ionesco.
