Vin has designed a new musical opera called 'Evil Machines', by Terry Jones
and Luis Tinoco, which premiers at the Sao Luiz Theatre, Lisbon, on January
12th 2008
Vin designed 275 costumes for a live musical show to launch
the Saab CD 900 which was performed in Nice, by singers from the
Stockholm Opera School and dancers choreographed by Terry Gilbert.
Vin's work for the Expo '98 commercials was spotted by Ricardo
Pais from Teatro Nacional San Joao, Oporto,The National Theatre
of Portugal, and she was asked to design the costumes for two plays
for them; THE GREAT THEATRE OF THE WORLD by Calderon de la Barca,directed
by Nuno Carenhas, and THE LESSON by Ionesco, directed by Ricardo
Pais.
Over the years, Vin has worked as costume and model maker and
consultant for artist Gerald Scarfe on his exhibitions, including
the London Festival Hall, The National Portrait Gallery and The
Dome, as well as opera productions in London and Los Angeles, and
on Christopher Hampson's production of NUTCRACKER for the English
National Ballet which opened in December 2002
